M&A Program Manager

Job Title: Program Manager for M&A
Department: Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
Reports To: VP/Director of M&A Integration

Job Summary:
The Program Manager for M&A is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end integration of acquired companies, ensuring that IT and Operations are aligned with the overarching business strategy. This role requires a strong background in M&A program management, a deep understanding of cross-functional integration, and the ability to lead teams through complex changes to drive a seamless transition. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing large-scale projects with an emphasis on IT and operational alignment to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integration Planning & Execution: Lead the integration process from planning through execution, ensuring that all IT and operational components align with strategic goals and timelines.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with leaders in IT, Operations, Finance, HR, and other departments to facilitate seamless integration across functional areas.

  • Program Governance: Establish and manage governance structures to monitor integration progress, address issues, and ensure milestones are achieved according to the integration roadmap.

  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to the integration program, ensuring that potential challenges are proactively addressed.

  • Resource Allocation: Coordinate with the M&A staffing team to ensure that resources are available, appropriately skilled, and aligned with integration needs.

  • Change Management: Drive change management strategies to help all stakeholders adapt to new processes, systems, and structures, minimizing disruption and promoting a positive transition.

  • Communication & Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders, detailing integration progress, challenges, and achievements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, Operations Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in M&A program management or integration, preferably within IT and Operations.

  • Demonstrated success managing large-scale integration programs across multiple functions.

  • Strong project management skills, with certifications like PMP or PgMP as a plus.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics and lead teams through change.

  • In-depth understanding of M&A processes and integration best practices.

  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with keen attention to detail.
